Kia Kaha sessions
Focused group learning gives tamariki room to practise alongside peers while whānau and facilitators gain practical tools they can use every day.
Small, intentional groups create space for individual goals, shared rhythm, and encouraging peer motivation.
We translate what happens in session into clear, confidence-building strategies for daily routines.
Structured, adaptable task sequences help children build skills through repetition, participation, and success.
The Kia Kaha Difference
A professional, transparent model that brings advanced neuro-habilitation within reach for more tamariki and whānau across Aotearoa.
Modern neuro-motor modalities including DMI, TASES, and Spider Cage suspension brought out of private clinics and onto an accessible, non-profit floor.
No GP referrals or formal diagnoses required. Tamariki get immediate physical support while sitting on public health waitlists.
100% charitable trust model. Every dollar raised or received goes directly toward subsidising session costs for whānau.
Partnered with the University of Canterbury to train Clinical Exercise Physiology students, building long-term allied health capacity for Aotearoa.

We cannot recommend Dora enough. We’ve been bringing our daughter Remi to see Dora over the last few months for low muscle tone and hypermobile ankles. When we first started, Remi was getting around by creeping on her forearms, struggled to bear weight through her hands and feet, and found holding positions like all-fours really challenging. The progress we’ve witnessed has been nothing short of incredible. Remi went from being uncertain how to move her body and lacking the confidence to hold her own weight, to actively challenging herself and wanting to explore new movements. Dora’s therapy approach is thoughtful, play-based, and perfectly calibrated to where Remi is at each session. I would highly recommend booking into see her, I wish we had started earlier!
Kia Kaha provides far more than therapy — they offer early intervention, direction, and genuine hope. Incorporating objective AI progress tracking gives valuable, data-driven insight into subtle developmental gains.
At present, there are no neuro habilitation services within the South Island that offer the unique skill set that Dora possesses... reducing the need for travel and enabling families to retain financial resources within New Zealand.
